About

Figs are a good source of soluble fiber which helps in keeping you full for longer periods of time and relieves constipation. They are rich in vital vitamins and minerals: Figs are rich in Vitamins A, B1 and B2, manganese and potassium, magnesium, copper, iron, and phosphorus.

We process and supply our clients with Greek dried figs of Evia, Kalamata and our unique Grandland varieties.

All our dried figs fall are of  premium quality and are selected one-by-one before packaged.

 

AFLATOXINS

All our products are traded according to EU regulations since they are stricter than most countries. With each delivery, we could supply you with aflatoxin certificates from the place of origin or any other European laboratory you might request.

SULFUR DIOXIDE (SO2)

Evia figs are also available  as tray-dried with sulfur dioxide as preservative. The average concentration is 600ppm.

HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

The use of Hydrogen Peroxide in order to make the colour of dried figs brighter is strictly prohibited.

EVIA DRIED FIGS

Evia Figs are known throughout Europe as a Protected Designation of Origin Product, they are only grown on the Greek island of Evia. What makes them so special? They are deliciously sweet, have a thin delicate skin, and are huge! The finest dried figs anywhere.

KALAMATA DRIED figs

Kalamata Figs are grown in Southern Peloponnese. They are a wonderfully unique fruit, they are sweet with a smooth skin, chewy flesh and are filled with tiny crunchy edible seeds.

Unique Harvest Practices

At Grandland we are committed to the production and trade of safe and quality dried figs. 

Safety and quality start in the orchards. The orchard management and the pre-harvest / harvest / post-harvest operations are all supervised by our dedicated team of agriculturists.

 Separate crates, trays, warehouses are used for each type of dried figs (natural, sulphured, organic).

Warehouses are temperature and moisture controlled in order to preserve the quality characteristics of our dried figs and ensure their safety until exported.

 

 

GRANDLAND DRIED FIGS

We collect our unique Grandland figs one-by-one  from the trees at optimal maturity.

Then, we inspect the figs at three different stages before we place them in plastic trays for drying.

EVIA DRIED FIGS

We let ripe Evia figs fall on nets made of UV Stabilised Virgin HDPE, which are certified for food contact applications.

KALAMATA DRIED FIGS

The use of Hydrogen Peroxide in order to make the colour of dried figs brighter is strictly prohibited.
