BULK DRIED FIGS

DOTTATO DRIED FIGS

Locally grown at our orchards in Messini, Greece, we offer only Dottato figs. Our dried figs are available solely as conventional, with sodium dioxide added as a color preserver.

Dottato (Kadota) figs are among the Mediterranean’s most valued varieties, prized for their natural sweetness, golden color, and soft, creamy texture. With a thin edible skin and balanced flavor, they are ideal for everyday snacking, cheese boards, bars, cereals, and jams.

Unique Harvest Technique

Our Dottato figs are harvested by hand, in multiple passes through the orchards, so that only fruit at the right stage of ripeness is picked. This selective, daily harvesting helps us achieve uniform sweetness, texture, and color in the final dried product.

Immediately after picking, the figs are placed carefully into shallow crates to avoid bruising and are transported the same day to our drying area. There, they are pre-sorted and laid out for sun drying, so the fruit never sits long in the field or under excess heat in bulk containers.

This gentle, controlled harvest process:

  • Protects the delicate skin and internal structure of the figs

  • Reduces mechanical damage and waste

  • Delivers more consistent drying behavior and final moisture

  • Supports the high, stable quality required by retail brands and industrial buyers

From the moment the fruit leaves the tree, our focus is on preserving the natural quality of the fig and ensuring a clean, reliable raw material for all our products.
